We seem to be seeing not just an uptick in speeding, but an uptick in Excessive Speed. In 2020, speeding killed 11,258 people.  The risks associated with speeding are, but aren't limited to:

-Greater potential for loss of vehicle control;

-Reduced effectiveness of occupant protection equipment;

-Increased stopping distance after the driver perceives a danger;

-Increased degree of crash severity leading to more severe injuries.

We recently got this speeder doing 63mph through Wolcott Village.  Additionally, there are spots where it seems we can sit anytime of the day or night and ticket several people for doing 70mph+ in a 50mph zone.  We ticketed two speeders over 70mph in just an hour or so this morning.

Simon & Garfunkel said it best, "Slow down, you move too fast"
