TYPE OF EVENT(S): Driving Under the Influence (Alcohol) – Criminal Refusal, Possession of Cocaine
LOCATION OF EVENT(S): Main Street in Montpelier

At the above date and time, a Montpelier Police Department officer conducted a motor vehicle stop. The operator was observed to be impaired by alcohol and was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence. They refused to provide an evidentiary breath sample while being processed as required by Vermont Law. When a search of their person was conducted incident to arrest, a small amount of cocaine was located.
Our investigation revealed probable cause that the operator, a 28-year-old female from Montpelier, had committed the crime(s) of driving under the influence (alcohol) – criminal refusal and possession of cocaine.
