At the above date and time, a Montpelier Police Department officer located a vehicle matching the description of one involved in a retail theft incident in Berlin. MPD officers made contact with the occupants and stood by with them until Berlin PD could respond. It was determined the operator had multiple sets of court ordered conditions of release requiring them to be in the custody of a specific responsible adult and establishing a 24 hour curfew at their residence.

Our investigation revealed probable cause that the operator, a 40-year-old male from Essex Junction, had committed the crime(s) of violation of conditions of release (2 counts) and was arrested.
