The Vermont Foodbank, Hunger Free Vermont, and Barre City Representative Jonathan Williams at yesterday’s press conference at the State House discuss how the end of the SNAP 3 Squares VT Emergency Allotment money will impact low-income Vermonters. March 2023 will be the final Emergency Allotment money for SNAP beneficiaries. Please note that this means you will continue to get your 3 Squares benefit, but it will not include the extra pandemic aide money.

Capstone’s Food Shelf is here to help during this transition. Our Food Shelf is open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9am-12pm and 1pm-3pm (except holidays), and you can visit 2 times per month to pick up groceries and ready-made, nutritious meals from our Community Kitchen Academy. Every Tuesday you can visit to pick up bread and vegetables which will be outside the Food Shelf. Our Food Shelf is open to all who need food.
