I’m not much for posting on Facebook, but the outpouring of support has been incredible, very humbling and it deserved a post.
Yesterday, I was formally named Chief of Police here in Montpelier, the Capital of Vermont, and I can’t thank my community and family enough!
There are 50 State Capital Police Chief jobs available and I’m lucky enough to have one of them.
Without the support of my family, City Manager, Assistant City manager, City Council, past Chiefs, co-workers and most importantly, my wife, Jen, I would not be where I am today.
As I was sworn in to my new position, Jen slid a photo of my Dad in my pocket. I lost him in March, and I can promise everyone I encounter that I will do everything in my power to make him and you proud of our Department.
We are the helpers, and we are here to serve.
