Cindy came to Capstone for help when she just couldn’t make ends meet anymore

16

Cindy came to Capstone for help when she just couldn’t make ends meet anymore. She was connected with a financial coach who gave her resources to help her create lasting change.

“I absolutely love working with my financial coach, Rosie. She keeps me focused on my budget goals. Coaching helped me realize where my money was going and where I can do better at saving. I learned that even though I have debt, it is fixable. There are ways to pay off that debt and still save. Having a financial coach also helped me realize that even on the smallest of incomes I can still find ways of saving. I can make things work and I can still save, even if it is $20 every time I get paid. I was able to reach goals that I never thought I would actually be able to reach, especially when the future is so uncertain,” shares Cindy.

Every day at Capstone Community Action we see firsthand the strain that our Central Vermont neighbors are facing due to inflation. Our low-income neighbors are struggling with the high prices of food, heat, transportation, rent, childcare and more. Thankfully, Capstone is here to help Central Vermonters make ends meet and create a new path forward.

But we can’t serve Vermonters like Cindy without you. Your gift of $25, $50, $100, $500 or $1,000 will help our neighbors to weather this challenging season, moving forward with more resources and greater stability. Please give generously and empower Central Vermonters to create brighter futures. Donate today at https://support.capstonevt.org/give/257703/....
