Wade Cochran | Detective Sergeant
Wade Cochran | Detective Sergeant
Today is bittersweet as we commemorate the departure of Detective Sergeant Wade Cochran after many years of service to the Montpelier community. We couldn't be prouder that one of our own has been selected to lead the Norwich VT Police Department as its new Chief of Police.
Wade joined MPD in 2006 as a Police Officer, after serving the communities of Hardwick and Barre City, and has risen through the ranks as a Patrol Sergeant and Detective Sergeant. He has given much to the citizens of the Capital City and Central Vermont as a first line supervisor, a member of the Vermont Drug Task Force, and as a Task Force Officer with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, conducting complex and vital investigations into drug trafficking and violent crime. Wade's valuable experience, quick wit, and supportive, mentoring personality will be sorely missed by his MPD family and our community.
Please join us in wishing Wade well in his new position. The community of Norwich is in good hands!
