Thinking back to this time last Thursday when our current CKA (Community Kitchen Academy) student crew joined up with Allison Levin of #communityharvestofcentralvermont at @bearrootsfarm in Williamstown.
We gleaned boxes and boxes #swisschard and #headlettuce under a gorgeous - and sunny - sky. Allison shared heaps of gleaning knowledge and guided the small but mighty team through proper harvest, weighing, and pack out.
Thanks to Chef Joey Bettendorf for leading the way to this fantastic day in the field, quite literally! And much gratitude to @bearrootsfarm for having us and #communityharvestofcentralvermont for the important work you do!
