Graduates earn 143 degrees, certificates from the New England Culinary Institute

About 80.4 percent of the 143 degrees and certificates handed out by the New England Culinary Institute in 2017-18 were to students in personal and culinary services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private for-profit institution in Montpelier conferred 55 associate's degrees and 32 bachelor's degrees in personal and culinary services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in culinary arts/chef training. Data shows the school gave out 33 associate's degrees in culinary arts/chef training, followed by 28 bachelor's degrees in restaurant/food services management and 23 bachelor's degrees in culinary arts/chef training.

The institute enrolled 73 students for 2017-18, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
