Recently, Chief Peete represented MPD at an event in Waterbury honoring Senator Patrick Leahy’s service to Vermont.

MPD, the Vermont Association of Chiefs of Police, the Vermont Sheriff’s Association, and others, presented Senator Leahy with tokens of appreciation for his support of many public safety programs that have benefited communities across Vermont and the United States. Specifically, his support of  legislation providing police officers throughout the country with funding for protective vests that have saved thousands of lives of police officers in the course of their duties.

We again extend our heartfelt thanks to Senator Leahy and wish him a happy and healthy retirement!
